Westhampton Beach, November 17, 2012
We head to the Atlantic Ocean, an eternal attraction
About 3:30 pm
Turn your head sideways
Sandy has sliced off about 30 feet of dunes
But why is the exposed sand brown?
It's a fine powdery brown here
Not my foot. Friday?

No pictures of Sandy the storm
Hurricane Sandy.
Beyond description. Or, if you insist, look at what the media are showing.
There was so much destruction that after the first day I couldn't take any more pictures.
Six days and nights without power, cold and black nights, sawed up logs by the road side, gas lines ....

House on Main Street
This house is just inches from the road, showing how old it is -- and how much the road has been widened. I think it's where the Duck Lady used to live. I used to hear about her 30 or 40 years ago; she fed the ducks in the days before the tourists took over that duty.

Fire truck open for inspection
Looks pretty complicated to me
Uh-huh
I know he's in there
Now where did he get to?
Youth takes the wheel

Sunday was a beach day
Westmeadow Beach
When the water is low you can wade out really far.
Colorful
Three lifeguards for a well-populated beach
Camping out
The tide was just turning
This wise guy is four months out of the egg
Good place to walk too
Sometimes it's hard to find a parking spot.
