What is behind that curtain?

Susan introduces the artist Sheila

There it goes

"Stacked Multiplicity"

Many books that were being discarded went into this project

And the need for electrical outlets
was not forgotten

Three cheers for Sheila!!

'61 Bug

People who drive cars like this must be quite used to total strangers chuckling and snapping pictures. Spotted in Setauket on Friday the 13th, a lucky find. One of the reasons I always carry my camera in the car.

The Greenway kitty

If you walk along the Setauket Greenway you're likely to be greeted by this friendly guy at a certain bench. I've seen him several times before but last week I had my camera with me.

Bag It (the movie)

The Sierra Club showed the movie "Bag it" yesterday at the library. Jane came suitably attired. Very powerful movie. Lots to think about. I've decided to give up all kinds of plastic, as far as possible. Oh, those albatrosses with stomachs full of plastic caps and bags -- sickening.

Angular Museum

The new Parrish Art Museum in Water Mill. The building itself is a work of art set in a huge tawny field, rather like a glorified farm stand (heresy!). You have to like cement. The large black doors are a bit intimidating. Gallery layout is simple. Enjoyed the Pollocks, Porters, Ossarios, Bartos. Wish they'd had more of their Chases on view. Well worth a visit. About 40 miles from Stony Brook. Admission is free on Wednesdays.
