All that?

All those flowers were in that barrel?
No wonder it tipped over.

West Meadow Beach Sunday evening

Sun is sinking, best time of the day,
not too hot, not too crowded.
Those sand piles by the lifeguard's chair,
 what are they for?
I'm all set to watch the sun go down.

Snap

At Melville Park, peering over the side of the bridge at irritable but sluggish snapping turtles. Can you see the shadows of photographers?

Anne Scully

On the Fourth of July we lost a wonderful member of the community,  Anne Corcoran Scully  (page A15)
She was active in so many organizations. I knew her from Meals on Wheels. In the late 1980s we shared a delivery route. She was one of the most enthusiastic people I've ever met. It was a joy to know her.
I remember so many happy times, convivial meals at her house, and walks at West Meadow Beach with her beloved golden retrievers. Up until recently I would run into Anne walking with a small dog in Melville Park.
She will be very much missed.

Henry wooing Kate

And she says yes

Playing now up until July 10th at Suffolk Community College in Selden, a wonderful presentation of Shakespeare's Henry V. I enjoyed it immensely.
