They've hatched!

Four cygnets hatched today at the nest in Avalon Park that our intrepid pair of swans built right next to the boardwalk, delighting children of all ages. The papa's in the background catching some shut-eye while the mama's on the nest. One more egg to go.
Best show in town.

That's a lot of bull

And he lives at Annie's Acres in Manorville with a lot of horses and other animals. Good thing he didn't have to be moved out during the wildfire (see pictures and article)

It came really close -- this was just across the street from Annie's.

Another area I saw today as I drove around.
Funny how after a fire you can see all the old bottles.

The fence up close

Hope this gives you, K, some idea of how the fence is made. Holes are drilled through the uprights for the wire, much easier than hollowing out big holes, I would think. Two-rail fence can be made as well. I'm not sure the pioneers would have approved of the spagetti look of that rail..
