Multitudes of seagulls hang out here. Floating in the background are Mallard ducks and Canada Geese
some of whom have a one-legged (resting) spell.
There are a few pigeons of mixed ancestry
and a preening swan or two

I love seagulls. I remember as a kid falling in love with the movie Jonathan Livingston Seagull and from then on seagulls were the ultimate symbol of freedom to me.
I always get an ache in my stomach when I see them hanging around strip mall parking lots miles away from the ocean. It seems so wrong for them to be there.
