Very high tide combined with rain on December 5th. Pictures taken along Shore Road, mid afternoon. The water is nibbling at the road.

Oh my, do you travel on this road every day? What a nice place to be so near the ocean but that's a bit too close on the road! Does it over flow the road a lot?
This is Setauket Harbor, which leads out into Long Island Sound. It's not ocean. Tides can get even higher...you can see the straw left on people's lawns now and then showing high water mark. No, I don't go to work this way. It's a great place to walk.
