Route 112 is a mess. Mile after mile, month after month, from Port Jeff Station to Coram, the construction goes on, the dirt, the noise, the traffic slow as molasses. They are widening this very busy road and adding a divider to make it safer. All that is good: the two-lane road was built in the days when cars went thirty miles an hour and nowadays the cars and trucks roar toward you at sixty-five with just inches to spare (until recently). So I'm glad they're doing it, but what a nuisance! And the word is the project will take another couple of years to complete. Oh boy.
