About 5 miles from where I live now. From 1969 to 1985 I lived in Port Jefferson. It wasn't so commercial and touristy then. East Main St. is the most interesting part of the Village; used to have a wonderful second hand book store, the Good Times Bookshop, but the owner closed up shop and now sells over the internet.I think my pix would have been better if I'd stood in the middle of the road.
