Little red toes, indeed!! I noticed that there is a red tinge around the edges of the "pears" also. The colder temps must affect them some.
I haven't been out to the prickly pear patch here at Possum Hollow since your first post about them - I'll go this morning to see how they are doing ....
Follow up .... I walked out to the prickly pear patch this AM. I think that the ones here are a different type - they are more oval and upright. They are green (not surprising because it is warmer here) with no signs at all of any "toes".
I didn't have my camera with me - I'll go back tomorrow to get a picture for you.
