Very old trees on Old Coach Road. Are they marked for preservation or for destruction?

I think that is to cut them down, there are some tree's marked like that in the center of our town too, after the ice storm, the house owners, (don't live there) had some folks there cleaning up the mess and marked the big tree's to take down. Funny those tree's have been there since I was a kid and I walked past this house since I started Kindergarten so It will look weird if they do take them down
These trees are very close to the road, showing that this used to be a quiet by-way. I think they are maples. I'll miss them ... and I don't even live nearby.
