Stone wall
I love stone walls. This one on Van Brunt Manor Road was built recently. I'll be posting other stone pix as there are quite a few interesting ones in our area.
All throughout the woods here you can find stone walls meandering through the trees. It is amazing how they have withstood so many years and are still standing.
Have you seen Robert Thorson book on stone walls? He spoke at one of our Historical or Land Trust meetings, I forget, I didn't get to go but he works at Uconn (I Think) and just recently I saw something about him in the paper but of course I can't remember again what for

C, can you take some pix of your walls? Could be important historically.

Lily, are you really up and blogging at one in the morning?
One of my favorite "coffee table" books is In the company of STONE - the art of the stone wall by Dan Snow. I have drooled over some of his creations.
I wish that there were stone in this area - free and for the asking ....
