Veterans of four wars--WW I, WW II, Korea, and Vietnam--are memorialized by the VFW here at the harbor in Port Jefferson.Does anybody have any information on this howitzer? I couldn't find any on the internet.

It does look similar to that Civil War replica. I'd agree to your date, around WWI. It has been there quite a while so maybe those who knew something about it have passed away.
